How Will You Imagine a Day Without Water?

October is here, which means the seventh annual Imagine a Day Without Water is just a couple weeks away! If your organization is not yet listed as a participant, click the button below to register today.

Over 1,100 individuals and organizations have signed up to participate in this year’s Imagine a Day Without Water. With that level of engagement, we have over 1,100 opportunities to highlight how water is essential, invaluable, and in need of investment, as well as communicate where our drinking water comes from and where our wastewater goes.

How does your organization plan to spend Imagine a Day Without Water? Are you offering tours of a water treatment facility, hosting a water-related webinar, or organizing a coloring contest for kids? Before October 21, 2021, rolls around, we want to hear from you! If you are still unsure about the ways your organization can engage, check out our resources page for more ideas, or take the lead from a few of this year’s participants:

  • Central Arkansas Water is engaging the community with a mural in downtown Little Rock to increase awareness around water access in a changing climate.

  • Arts Midwest is hosting a webinar with a playwright, a researcher and advocate, and a mixed-media artist about environmental stewardship.

  • Broward County plans to host a contest where students will have the opportunity to build a water filtration model.

No idea is too big or too small; let us know what you're doing so we can help elevate your ideas and spread the word. If you would like to provide us with more detail regarding your organization’s plans, please contact Jessica O’Keefe at jokeefe@thevalueofwater.org. And don’t forget to tag @TheValueofWater and use the hashtag #ValueWater on the day of the event!
